Saturday, Dec 14, 2019. Dirty December Poker Run San Diego, CA. Marathon, 1/2 Marathon, 10K. Poker Runs America/Power Boating Canada’s 33 rd annual 1000 Islands Can/Am Poker Run held in the city of Kingston, Ontario on August 16-18 was bigger and better than ever. Thanks to the poker run participants who joined us and for showcasing their boats. Thank you to our sponsors and street displays for making it an awesome weekend. Home2019 Poker Run Results Thanks to everyone that came to the poker run in 2019, we had over 600+ in attendance, sold over 14,000 raffle tickets, had 450+ poker hands played. Most importantly everyone had a great time and we were able to present a check to LCFR for $25,000 and A Kid's Place for $5,000.
Both clubs would like to thank you for coming out in this cold weather. This season has been a challenging one. First we had to remove all the brush and trees that were across our trails. Then we had to build detours after surprise trail closures. It is a real boost to the many volunteers to see the number of people, who have come out to enjoy the ride.
The poker run committee would like to thank our sponsors. Algonquin Equipment sponsored our first prize. Leroux Auto and Power Sports donated a snow suit and a helmet. Mikey’s Extreme donated a snow suit.
The poker run committee would also like to thank the Windy Lake Motel and Restaurant for sponsoring the purchase of our poker run sweat shirts, and for allowing us to invade their premises for the day. The sweat shirt features both club logo’s and the Ride the North logo. The winners of each of the six shirts will be able to pick their size from our shirt supplier.
And of course we would like to thank Pure Country and Rewind 103.9 for their support of the poker run. A special thanks also goes out to Kelly’s Family Diner. They have been outstanding supporters of snowmobiling in the area. Kelly’s supports the sport by providing meals for our groomer operators, by strongly supporting our district year end volunteer social, and of course by allowing us to invade their restaurant for the day.
