As an additional safeguard, the amount of people that can gather around a gaming table is limited in order to maintain physical distance.

Dining at Thunder Valley

Many families visited Thunder Valley on special occasions specifically for their extensive buffet. Unfortunately, the buffet restaurant remains closed at this time. Other restaurants on-site, such as High Steaks Steakhouse and the Thunder Valley Cafe, are open.

“Thunder Valley will schedule concerts as soon as it is safe to do so,” the casino said. Mark Kroon of Sacramento, left, and fiance Chloe Lee of Sacramento play slots at the Red Hawk Casino in. Thunder Valley is one of the only venues around with upcoming live music on the calendar! Every year, the casino offers a series of shows at their outdoor concert venue. While many of this summer’s shows were canceled, the following are still scheduled: Billy Idol – August 28, 2020.

Thunder Valley is one of the only venues around with upcoming live music on the calendar! Every year, the casino offers a series of shows at their outdoor concert venue. While many of this summer’s shows were canceled, the following are still scheduled:

Sacramento Casino Thunder Valley

  • Billy Idol– August 28, 2020. Billy Idol is arguably best known for his second album, Rebel Yell, which was released in 1983. Rebel Yell went double platinum and included the hit songs “Eyes Without a Face” and “Rebel Yell.”
  • Pat Benetar & Neil Giraldo with John Waite– September 4, 2020. Pat Benetar, along with her bandmate and husband Neil Giraldo, was a major staple of 80’s radio. Her biggest hits were “Love is a Battlefield” and “Hit Me With Your Best Shot.” Opener John Waite had several chart-toppers in the ’80s, but none so big as the ubiquitous “Missing You,” which was featured in several movies and television shows, and seemed to be on constant radio rotation for the entire decade.
  • Sammy Hagar & The Circle – September 5, 2020. Probably most recognized for his inability to drive 55, Sammy Hagar was also the lead singer for Van Halen after David Lee Roth’s departure.
  • Kenny Loggins with Ambrosia – September 11, 2020. Everyone who has ever been to a wedding has likely heard Kenny Loggin’s 80’s hit “Footloose” from the movie of the same name. He also wrote other songs for blockbuster movies: “I’m Alright” for Caddyshack and “Dangerzone” which was featured in Top Gun.
  • Pitbull – September 12, 2020. It’s Mr. Worldwide himself, bringing his self-described “global” music to the outdoor stage.
  • Tesla with Buckcherry – September 26, 2020. Sacramento-based Tesla had a few big hits toward the tail end of the ’80s, most notably “Love Song” and “Signs.” For this show, Tesla is teaming up with Buckcherry, a band that formed in the mid-’90s in Anaheim, California, and has enjoyed marginal success.
  • V101’s Summer Jam – October 3, 2020. Rescheduled from an earlier date, V101’s Summer Jam will offer up early 90’s nostalgia with performances by R&B chart-toppers Tony! Toni! Tone!, Color Me Badd and headliners Bell Biv Devoe. Now you know.

If any of the concerts are canceled, refunds will be issued through Thunder Valley ticket office or Ticketmaster, depending on where the tickets were originally purchased.
